http://www.calamitiesofnature.com/ : Calamities of Nature - Proof for Evolution

Actually you're mixing up the use of "theory" and "hypothesis" as it exists in science. Creationism is an hypothesis currently unsupported by the scientific evidence. Evolution is a hypothesis that is currently supported by scientific evidence and hence a theory. The Theory of Evolution does not currently describe the critical "start point" of life - the Catholic Church, for example, generally accepts the Theory of Evolution but points to God as the initiator of the original "spark" of life. To those espousing creationism because a book people wrote many years ago states God did X, how can you rule out what God can and cannot use when it comes to achieving His (or Her depending on faith - and plural for polytheistic faiths) desired outcomes?

Provided the IP is open sourced once it is part of a standard, I agree. Unfortunately that won't be happening anytime soon.

The W3C is just a sum of its members parts. Perhaps one might want to look at the lagging of members in any one area? Any developer worth their salt should be pushing their company for representation on either committees or providing feedback on drafts. I wouldn't want to make a guess at the number who have…

Welcome to the world of *progressive enhancement* as a design philosophy. Enhance the UX with each additional layer of support for new technologies. It *shouldn't* be any different with Flash, but very few sites use flash as the enhancement layer and not the complete app layer. Remember, the web is not a movie.

…and we see why the gulf between the corporate world and the www continues to grow when it comes to web apps. Is this why there's a bigger shift to cloud applications in that sphere I wonder?
