Ugh, it is sad you are spending this weekend exactly the same way you did last year! You have to come up with alternate arrangements before next year, a substitute on your behalf? I think you will have to declare the following weekend as a "Re-do" and be treated to all the specialties you will have missed, at least for your birthday, since in my mind each event gets it's own celebration, pampering and gifts, regardless of when it falls. Your daughter's story was just adorable, make sure you save this to give back to her when she is grown, I see a potential writer on the way up! I am sorry about your snow, the only consolation being that it won't last. Here, the heat of summer is just beginning, days in the high 80's and up into the 90's and before long triple digits, I wish someone would promise me that it won't last long. SIGH XOXO

Your photos are lures dangling in front of my eyes and calling to my heart! Papa Bear and I often talk about how we'd love to be able to buy a tiny home and take off to see the rest of the country, so many places we haven't been yet! Maybe, maybe, someday we'll find a way to make it come true, and if not, we can still dream of adventures. Like you, it's time for some serious Spring housecleaning... so I think I'll just sit here and write awhile longer and maybe that urge will pass. :-) Great topic for today, thanks!

A day on the farm with friends and feathered babies sounds pretty perfect to me! Maybe sometimes it's ok to forgo the photos (although we would have loved them) and just relish in the love and warmth of the moment, and the wonderful memories being made. The A-Z Blogging Challenge will be finishing up at the end of the week, and then I'll be showing up here again to join in, as usual, I am overcommitted, or perhaps I should be committed for joining in the A-Z once again! :-) XOXO

Your mood board is exquisite and I loved seeing your adorable face when it popped up in my feed! :-) Yes, it is so important to destigmatize mh issues, no on should have to suffer in silence or shame. You photos from the aquarium were awesome, I'm so glad you shared them! Send the rain down here, we've had some this past week, but we are always fine with more, as soon as Papa Bear gets finished with mowing the weeds this weekend! Cheers for the kids doing something good for Mother Earth! Have a blessed week ahead my friend! XOXO

A really fun collection! I can see that Spring spirit has definitely taken hold of you... and you are going to freeze your butt in those tiny shorts for a bit longer, but I know you'll look adorable regardless. :-))

I totally love the tattoo! I got my first one in my late 30's just after a divorce. I have eight now, the most recent one done on my 60th birthday, and I've still reserved a place for just one more! I know that some people truly detest them, but like you I really don't care. It is my form of self expression, my tribal markings of a sort, and I love them every one!

The owl cake is too adorable for words, as is your little troll. I love him!! :-) Doing good, for ourselves, and especially for others is the most uplifting experience there is! Nothing makes me happier than knowing I made someone else's day a little bit brighter in some way. I see that as my purpose and mission in life, to be an encourager. The world has enough discouragers already. I think you do an amazing job of reaching out to others in your community and in the blogsphere, with help and encouragement, and words that make us think and grow! Your friendship is a blessing, and when I see your name pop up in my comments I always smile! If you are doing what makes others feel good, most often you will find yourself feeling good as a result! This was a great topic, I enjoyed writing for it! :-)

This whole time away was a totally lovely self-indulgence, and I think everyone should do it at least once a year. A warm cozy bed is luxurious, and the French Toast looks delicious! I am amazed at how much writing you were able to do without distraction or a things-to-do list for the day. I hope you've booked a room for another stay in Autumn!

I hope you had a wonderful relaxing time away despite the snow. Yes, geese are noisy critters, I'm glad they decided to sleep at night so you could! I love that you had time away for yourself, it's important, and I love that you do date nights, we do too. Too many married folks get wrapped up in day to day survival and forget to do the things to nurture their relationship. Enjoy!
