This was one of the most messed up shows You mention that the male lead is disturbing, as he is certainly stalker-ish, and possible more deranged with psychotic killers being thrown around quite a bit. The female lead is looking for someone to kill her, and thus a beautiful relationship begins.... This show certainly went places I wasn't prepared to see it go. I will have to check out the next episode to see where they go from here, but it was already worth watching the first episode, just to get my full dose of WTF in a single twenty minute installment.

Also the first few episodes set you up for a sucker punch. This is a great series and well worth watching.

The OP has grown on me, but it is far from my favorite Yoko Kanno song.

Kaoru's meeting with his mother was very nice. I like tragic figures like Kaoru's mom. Life isn't kind to everybody, and few of us will finish with no regrets.

I know what you mean about the background. Watanuki and Karuta were pretty funny making comments while Ririchiyo was mentally going on about her coffee plan.

Daily Lives of High School Boys has been pretty consistently funny. All of the girls in the show are utterly psychotic.

Yeah, this wasn't a terrible episode, but it was by no means great. Unless they are actually working towards something there is very little energy, but I have to say it had some decent tension in the way Miura acted like the world's worst editor. He needs to get his act together.
