You're welcome! Let me know how it turns out. Also, if you ever need to catch me, Twitter is usually the best place for sending up a Bleach Signal.

Hi hi, Jolie here! You need a soot sponge, which is a real product and not something I just made up. You can buy them from Amazon, of course, or at hardware/home improvement stores.

I worked on that 1999 SI package, oddly enough. It was a bear, and it ran in the same issue as Jeff Pearlman's piece on John Rocker (REMEMBER THAT??) so no one paid it any attention after we'd literally worked for weeks to put it together, fact check it, run 50 separate covers, etc.

I've still kind of never forgiven Jeff Pearlman for it.

I'm pasting the text of an email I sent to Nicole on Friday because I know that at least one other of you will want to come sit by us and hold hands really tightly.

"I know, deep in my heart, that you're also mildly obsessing over the missing plane because you secretly believe The Langoliers has come true."

I was recently researching banishing spells because I really need to use the banishing candle I've had set aside for this one person who really needs a good banishing but I cannot for the life of me bring myself to actually do it? In part because I'm worried that I'm so angry with her that I'll inadvertently cause her hair to fall out, or her mustache to grow in, which isn't what I want. I mean, mostly it's not what I want. Maybe a little bit it's what I want. I dunno. I think it's better to just continue to seethe for a while, that seems healthy.

Anyway! This is one of the spells I found in my travels, maybe it will work for you? http://witchesofthecraft.com/2014/02/27/the-witch...
