good list. except #4. im pretty sure if we had no magnet field protecting the earth we would die from excess solar radiation. our atmosphere does nothing to protect us from solar flares.

Listverse : 10 Movies Stuck in Development Hell

For those who have read world war z, i hope you agree with me when i say that it should not be made into a movie. the story is so vast, with no real single character(apart from max brooks himself), that a single movie would not do it justice. The Author of this list has it exactly right, that a screenplay adaption of this novel should be oscar worthy. however a screenplay adaption would, and is, proving too difficult. hence the 4 year delay. I think to do this novel on screen, it would have to be a mini series. Consider 'Band of Brothers'. That Mini-Series followed the story of 'Easy Company' in world war 2. this was 10 parts following a single group of men over the course of 2 years. World War Z follows stories of Dozens of individuals over the course of a decade. located all over the world... including antarctica. if the creators of a movie for world war z wanted to do it justice, it would be a monumental undertaking on a scale larger than that of the lord of the rings. But if they pulled it off, it would definatley be oscar worthy. If they could pull it off. Bonus for world war z fans. if you read the novel and want to know why the character max brooks is traversing the globe to collect stories of human survival, then you may want to read a bonus story i found detailing the very disturbing final chapter from world war z. This can be found in "Zombie An Anthology of the Undead" and is called "Closure, Limited. A World War Z Story". more than worth a read for fans of the book, or fans of zombies altogether.
