They may not be insane religious whackjobs, but anybody who would do some of the things they do is not right in the head. But here I am doing exactly what you said not to do. You're right, if everybody would just realize that they're not worth anybody's time or effort and ignore them, they'd probably go away. The problem is, I'd imagine it's pretty tough to ignore a group of people standing at your loved one's funeral holding signs about how God hates them, and they're burning in hell. Which, like you said, is exactly why these nutjobs are around.
