I had the exact same thought about Ryan's dog. There's no way he's a regular jogging partner... I hope he sues Ryan for legal ilberation for making him film that segment.

Oh, I almost forgot... My wife correctly pointed out that Courtney has a special little Rabbit baby-voice that she uses when she talks to Ben. It serves no purpose except to spin the hate knob all the way to 11...

I, like all civilized, well-adjusted human beings, despise Courtney (or at least the version of her we get to see through the magic of editing). However, I was glad to see Emily go home. I thought my brain was going to rupture when she started a statement about Courtney by saying, "I'm not going to talk about Courtney, but..." She was literally unable to function in the absence of a live feud, and it cost her. Also, other things that elementary school teachers say weirdly: HAIR-ess-ment (harassment) and ma-TOUR (mature). Also also, I'm thinking for next season they should just combine The Bachelor/ette and Fear Factor. Thoughts?

http://www.knoxmccoy.com/ : The Bachelor Recap: Indecent Tribal Exposure

"BUT if you are going to be on TV, it is imperative that you NEVER wear it because the only people who do this are the girls from Toddlers and Tiaras and Courtney." Don't forget rap icons, Knox... "K: On a scale of 1 to parliament today was blue." My favorite line of the week. Also, for all the "Ben is a caveman" talk over the last year, I can't believe that didn't come up when he was wearing a loincloth. Was that just the low-hanging fruit?

The worst thing about Harrison Plug's ring is that it looks strangely like a diamond solitair engagement ring. In fact, it looks a whole lot like my wife's engagement ring. Man wearing an index finger ring - awful. Man wearing a diamond solitaire index finger ring - totally unconscionable.

WordPress blog at kevinkeigley.com : Google Voice Spasm

I used to use Google Voice, mostly for the voicemail features, (Which, by the way, it is more difficult than necessary to STOP using...), and I got a few of these gems. My favorite one was when I got a transcript of a voicemail from my mom that was riddled with profanity. I just laughed, because I know my mom doesn't talk like that. It was a funny thing to imagine, though.

In 2002, it was presented to him as, "I witnessed this yesterday." But there were allegations Paterno was aware of as far back as 1998. Why Paterno or literally anyone else who knew about this stuff didn't go to the police is the big question in this whole affair.

I can only assume that the assistant was just in total shock at what he'd just seen, and that everyone else simply couldn't believe the allegations out of the kindness of their hearts. That still wouldn't excuse their inaction, but it would help explain it a little bit...

Agreed on Paterno. He's 84, so this would have been his last job anyways. It's just sad that he has to leave in disgrace instead of as the great elder statesman of PSU football.

The Pursuit of God : Big Family

My immediate family growing up was pretty average-sized - mom, dad, a sister, and me. My extended family is big, though. Like, my dad was one of 8 children and my mom was one of 6. So I have lots of aunts and uncles, and lots and lots of cousins.

The Pursuit of God : Do You Get SAD?

Well, truth be told, if you feel many of those symptoms year round, you should probably get checked for clinical depression. The essence of SAD is that it is triggered when the body\\\'s clock gets off kilter because of less daylight during the winter months. It\\\'s made worse by the end of Daylight Savings Time, which immediately knocks an hour\\\'s worth of daylight off the end of the day. But for real man, if you\\\'re feeling that stuff all the time, don\\\'t be afraid to get checked out.

What's unexplainable about the Handskills video? That's how we rolled on Saturday mornings at my house growing up... You know, I brought grandma a beer while she and the dog sat and watched me and my sister tandem dance with a sword and a butterfly knife on the back patio next to the portrait of the kid in the gaucho hat. Is that weird?

When you look at the Tale of the Tape, it seems like Pete would win in a landslide. But Maggie is scrappy. Pete gets dominated (read: humped) by the dog, but I've never seen Maggie submit. I'd take Maggie in a full on brawl.

1) I had some great teachers, too, but my all time #1 would have to be my high school band director, Mr. Ryan (Dr. Ryan now, I believe). In addition to being the teacher over probably my favorite part of high school (band), I learned so much about integrity and leadership from him. 2) The Lion King Soundtrack. 3) Pterodactyl, so I could fly AND be a dinosaur. Win-win, if ever there was one...
