<description>I don&amp;#039;t think you&amp;#039;ll get too much useful information from any tool sales rep.  The question isn&amp;#039;t whether OBI can do federation (that is the reason the product was invented), but whether you should do it or not.  Federation in many cases (not all) is indicative of a lacking data architecture.  The sales reps will use the old nQuire phrase, &amp;quot;Play the data where it lies&amp;quot; which helps sell software, but doesn&amp;#039;t actually do an adequate job of solving business problems. </description>
