Sadly that sounds exactly like something they would do, especially since he used his "cash in" to get a regular match (instead of having Braun pick up the pieces after a bout).

I wish modern WWE didn't shy away from traditional "managers". Guys like Slick, Mr. Fuji, Elizabeth, Bobby the Brain and Virgil (Paul for AOP) really added a missing element, often infusing personality/ multiple story options.

"Forced into watching some political stunt" = During some pre-games you get a few quick shots of dudes quietly going about their business for about a minute of anthem, which most people are multitasking during anyway, and then you get the entire protest-free game.

Most people are only mad/annoyed because they are told they should be mad/annoyed.
