The thing about it though, was that Ayn Rand's philosophy (Objectivism) didn't seem to match with some aspects of her life. She was married (not the best arrangement in which to have the "taking care of number 1" mentality), she tried to get her family out of Russia, and she taught soldiers to read during the Russian revolution. I am looking forward to reading George W Bush's book. Don't know whether it will be difficult or not, but in order to decide whether you agree with him or not, you have to see things from his side of the fence.
