Loved Beth Moore's Songs of Ascent series, so I'm really looking forward to this again. It's been a few years since I did that one.

I hope it's helpful! That's the main reason why I wanted to publicly record what I was finding, even if it's a bit scary to talk theology online when there are so many trolls!

Thanks! I haven't really spent any time promoting the blog so it's cool to hear that it was helpful!

I love the verse "You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you." I did a bit of a study on the mind last month for a project I'm doing called "The Righteousness Project". You can see a bit here of what I found about that idea: http://therighteousnessproject.ca/post/2440251604...

http://shellieos.blogspot.com/ : Weaning

wooo! weaning! I weaned off my meds this spring, too. I'm not sure how your doctor was suggesting you do it - I was on 10mg and then went down to 5mg (1/2 a pill) and then he told me to do 5mg every other day... but I would be sick as a dog the day "off", so instead I went down to a 1/4 pill (2.5 mg) for a few weeks until I could go every other day on that. It was so crazy to realize I hadn't taken a pill for several days and I actually felt BETTER & slept better. yay for health & the meds that get us there!

sexrev.org : Legalizing Gay Marriage

I pretty much think the same thing with regards to basic human rights and separation of church & state, but then I wonder.... will God hold us accountable for not fighting for things that honour him, even if it's the context of a "secular" government? Is it ok for us to legalize abortion on the same grounds? Also, I'd be interested to hear why it is you don't think masturbation is a sin. I know some people argue that "if it can be done with a pure mind it's not sin" & then also point to the fact that, well, it's just not possible to do it with a pure mind.

I was wondering when you weren't talking at our SM meeting the other day if you were purposely trying to be quiet or you were just in an especially contemplative mood.

http://shellieos.blogspot.com/ : Hit That Nail on Its Head

true words. I've heard that for some people if their burnout is REALLY bad, I can take years. Like. YEARS. and if you go into burnout a second time, it can take out out for the count. That's kind of scary, but for me it was a huge incentive for me to take it slowwwwwwwwwww and really be sensitive to what my body is telling me with sleepiness etc.
