Thanks for sharing this. I can think of so many instances where the learner simply did not/could not fit into the system. 'The system' is the wrong place for them.

Glynis Cousin - I wrote about it here - http://jennymackness.wordpress.com/2012/12/07/thr... - says that part of learning to be a student is learning the rules of engagement - learning to play the game - which is what you seem to have done - and succeeded.

One of life's eternal compromises? Which begs the question - how much should we be prepared to compromise in matters relating to our learning?
