I was looking at some of these, and what was already out and really liked the sound of Sarah Latchaw first and second novels but at £8.49 each I can't justify spending that much when I get some many books as ARCs and pay for Kindle Unlimited :-( I've noticed some books are creeping up to the £8-10 mark and that's just too much for me when there are terrific stories that are free or under a fiver or on KU. Unless its by an author I know I enjoy and will reread a fiver is my max, and I'm not alone there. Maybe they'll go down in price after a while - I've noticed lots do....and I'd really like to try that first one especially.
I'm with you on waiting for both/all three in dups trilogies for a back to back reading fest. I get the best from the story that way when its not months between parts and I have to back track and remind myself what was happening. I never quite pick up the flow so well as when its all one read.

I haven't read either of these. I shied away from YA for a long time, but slid into some fantasy/paranormal reads and enjoyed them much to my surprise but...YA in genreal is a real mixed bag for older readers. I've found some real gems, where the story is such that it appeals to all ages, and its really only the text fomat thats YA - where its paced at easy to read style, and then again I've started some that sounded promising but have been DNF as they are so dire....but again maybe thats becuase I'm not YA, long, long past it. I try really hard to choose ones I think I'll like but sometimes the book and the descriptions are totally opposite!

I loved this book too - love Carrie's works. I enjoy the deep drama and sad parts and she strings it out as I love. So many reads its all hapy happy happy, then a quick downside thats over in a couple of pages, when I love to wallow in it and really feel it's genuine. Then when all comes right its a real brightener.
