Dumb Little Man : 12 Ways To Build Your Business While Keeping Your Family First

Thank you for this article. I've had to re-evaluate myself in regards to building my business. The whole point of this was because of and for my family. What's happened is that I work 50-60 hours a week at my full-time job, then come home and put in another 4-6 hours every night building my business. I've been doing this for the last 7 months straight and it has taken a toll. Fortunately my wife is ever patient and hasn't gone Freddy on me yet. I'll be implementing this advice, especially #8.

#5 is my viscous cycle. Not enough sleep, caffeine all day, not enough sleep, caffeine all day. As a previous commenter stated... "sleep is a hobby".

#7 Working at a job that you absolutely loathe with every ounce of your being is great for motivating yourself to do something more. Well, that's my self motivation anyhow.

I couldn't have said it better. Learning something new is not only beneficial to self-motivation and personal growth... it saves a ton of money too! It's amazing how much money a person can save by learning how to do for themselves, which in itself is a huge motivation factor.

Dumb Little Man : 50 Ways a Manager can get Employees to Quit

Yes, this list is right in line with various jobs I've had/have. It seems that employers are trending towards incompetent sociopaths when it comes to hiring management. One of the most hated I've ever run across was a little man with little lady fingers and the biggest Napoleon complex I've ever seen. This synaptically-challenged little monster would struggle to form a coherent thought, much less pull off communicating that thought with another person. On the rare occasion he was able to pull off this feat, he'd get so excited about it that he'd repeat the same thing 10 different ways. I threw up in my mouth, just a little bit, every time I had to hear him speak. You must have worked under him too, he's the one you wrote this article about, right?

Dumb Little Man : Nine Easy Tricks to Cut Your Spending Today

So true. I have to laugh when the guys at work complain about being broke, yet the very same people complaining are the ones eating out 3 times daily and hitting the soda and candy machines throughout the day. I've been able to save a ton of money not only by bringing a lunch, but on gas as well. Eating out is a rarity anymore and we've been able to save a lot that way.

Dumb Little Man : 5 Awesome Tips to Writing Emails That Won't Be Ignored

Sending a link for this post to my members, great info with good reference sources. Owning an advertising site, it's easy to see that yes, the subject is all important to even getting the e-mail opened. I see well-written subjects get many times more opens/clicks. As for the length of the e-mail? I see some long e-mails that get a ton of clicks while others get very few. As one of the comments here mentioned, it probably has a lot to do with writing style and quality. In general though, shorter does typically seem to do better.

Dumb Little Man : 12 Tricks Your Brain is Playing on You

I love this post! #8 in particular is a tough one for me, except that the focus of fear is not for myself, but my loved ones... my wife and children. The fear of loss and/or harm makes me wonder if I sometimes over-protect to the point of not allowing certain growth opportunities for them.
