This is a funny statement. “It’s a national problem. I think we should work together to solve this problem,” If the government of the day with all the relevant powers can't/don't solve it, then how then can you ask the opposition or general public that has no authority "to work together."

If the opposition do not highlight it or "politicise" as you say, then who else?

Mungkin dia risau tentang keselamatan dirinya. Harus diiringi oleh peguam (Perhaps he fears for his safety, should be accompanied by lawyers)

How can the police force have a clean image with suspects dying in custody all the time with wound and bruises? The ruling government promised transparency. So far, we have not seen any changes. How many more must die?

Even thieves and murderers deserve their day in court.

The smartphone issue may not be as big as other issues like Lynas, corruption, declining education standard, AES, etc HOWEVER it points to one glaring thing. That those who decide on policies in this nation don't THINK things through first.

I look forward to the day when better qualified people are elected into parliment and into the cabinet. There are very smart & qualified people of all races in Malaysia. I urge and challenge the young & able to stay. Make a difference. Let you voice be heard. If you feel you can do a better job, then don't shun politics. Politics is, after all, the art and science of governing a country.

I don't know exactly what they mean by synthetic aggregate but in engineering school, aggregate is a term used for a mix of stones and pebbles for road construction. If this is the plan i.e. to combine the waste as a material in road or building construction material, sure hope there enough studies done for Long Term safety.

Edit - I found this article on an Australian Business website online that explains the situation to investors of Lynas http://www.theaustralian.com.au/business/mining-energy/lynas-fights-claims-it-must-export-all-waste-from-malaysia-plant/story-e6frg9df-1226534422694

Good that UMNO Youth wants to help those bankrupt. Howeverwith better education, prudent financial management and less monopolies resulting in a stronger Malaysia's currency and lower cost to consumers, would such actions even be necessary in the first place?

The fact of the matter is the government lost out a huge revenue stream (billions of ringgit) by NOT auctioning the 4G spectrum. What happened to the PM's promise of transparency & accountability?

Here's a website that collected all the account of AES in other countries. Besides the way it is currently implemented, you can decide whether AES is effective or not based on actual operations. Based on some locations, it seems the traffic violations not enough to pay for the system. If that happens here, would the government have to compensate the companies?
