I don't know, the rumor itself sounds made up, I'm sure there's a Nintendo system in the works that likely has some similarities to the nintendo fusion rumor, but I'm going to have to say that the person that created the rumor made it up.

Yeah, I know. I meant as in 3DS vs Wii U. Both have fairly poor 3rd party support (all things considered) despite the 3DS being the best selling next gen system and the Wii U being more than capable of running most of these games.

The Nintendo fusion is not a thing that exists and I find it really weird that such a bizarre rumor gained so much traction. As for Nintendo's next system/potentially handheld and console hybrid, It would need to be powerful enough to run all the games decently while having good sales. So we'll see how it goes down.

I'd like the BD:FF series to replace the FF:crystal chronicles series as the Nintendo exclusive "FF" games. I'd love to see the 3rd game (after Bravely second 3DS) to be made from the ground up for the Wii U. The artstyle with the Wii U's power/resolution would be pretty cool.

The 3DS was selling at a high profit at $250, the Wii U has been taking a loss since launch. The $50 drop is what they could do.

It's selling that well because it's not the standard price and it includes 3 games. The current price is perfectly fine, in 100 bucks cheaper than the main competitor and $200 less than the Xbone and it also includes a game for free. Lowering the price further will only hurt Nintendo financially and it would likely not help the sale out much. Nintendo needs to show why the Wii U is worth it at $299, they can't just drop it to where consumers would be like "I think it's worth $199, I'll buy it at that price". They could invest the potential money loss on each system (since, again, they are currently losing money on each wii U, any additional cut would just make them lose more per unit) on ads or games instead, something that would help it on the long run.

I don't think a PR response debunks the rumor. They didn't announce anything at e3 and other than W_D, which was delayed so it doesn't really count, they haven't announced almost anything for the platform. They do have that 1 ubi art framework engine game, but there is another one that's skipping the platform too

A (serious) question. I'm all up for homebrew, but are you concerned by piracy and what it can potentially do to the system? The hacker that is working on the 3DS hack has stated that he is against his hack being used for piracy, do you feel the same way?
