I found out my dad died by seeing my cousin's "RIP Uncle Dan" status update just after he collapsed. I thought it was a terrible joke. I'm still reeling from finding out that way. I'm sorry we share something so yucky in common. Every once in a while I, too, take a peek at his FB page.

Definitely marriage. This parenting gig is hard some days, sure. But it's a different kind of hard. Thanks for talking about this on your blog. I can't bring myself to talk about this topic on my own.

Wow, a half marathon is something I could never do. You amaze me. I love your list and your determination. I'm proud of you, too!

That bookcase looks like a great addition to my son's room! What a fantastic giveaway! And thanks for linking up to the James & Jax Weekend Reading blog hop.

This post couldn't have come at a better time for me. When my maternity leave was coming to an end in late 2009, I developed postpartum anxiety and was terrified to leave the baby while I worked all day. I didn't trust anyone with him, and I also missed him like crazy. Fortunately, my boss allowed me to return 3 days per week for 2 months, then I worked 4 days in the office and 1 day from home for about 15 months thereafter. This very week is my first complete 5-day work week since my son was born. I dreaded the day when I'd have to do all 5 days in the office, but it really hasn't been half as bad as I imagined it would be, and I think beginning the week by reading this post really helped get me in the right frame of mind. Thanks so much!
