"I refuse to believe it for it destroys my humanity, my faith in all things sacred, my faith in the wholeness of my being and of this Universe. They may need therapy, social support or deterrance, but they do not cease being the sacred beings that all of us are" Powerful lines Bhavana...Loved it...I am the mother of an innocent 4 yr old and ever since I became one, every time I read about someone committing something wrong thats ridiculed by the whole world, I keep remembering that they too were innocent sweet smiling babies at one point...What made them what they are??? Nice thoughts here!

True Bhavana, Wherever it is pain is pain! Often its just a piece of news to us on TV but it would be human beings suffering in some corner of the earth....Very touching post !

As a kid I used to visit my uncle's house in Diwali and they had a Parijat tree....I loved gathering the flowers and stringing them together ...I would hand over the garland to my mom to be used for pooja....Fun it was :)

I see many such Muthulakshmis during my visits to India...Hats off to them...We need to learn to appreciate blessings and stop cribbing from such inspiring women.

Cooking is something I really enjoy and it kind of helps me destress too...And nothing else gives me as much satisfaction as a dish well made....And yes, there is something definitely feminine about cooking and I love it...
