I have always envisioned a reverse trike with the front wheels being electric hub motors while the rear is driven by a all (relatively speaking) 500 or 600CC twin. In city environments the electric front wheel drive would be perfect, while on the highway the gasoline motor would provide ample power. In addition, the gas engine could be used to charge a minimal pack of batteries when the electrons become depleted.
