Reason #3 is definitely going to be my #1 reason if I want to dive into this book (see what I did there? LOL!). I like it when the narration is told differently - sometimes you can get to the heart of things better that way if you show it in another angle. I'm the type of person who isn't willing to read a story that gives you so much angsty feelings, though. But I will definitely check it out when I feel more up to feeling ALL the feels, literally.

@Jeann - I AM SO ENVIOUS OF YOU RIGHT NOW. I would love to go to a gaming convention and just be surrounded with gamers and games and game developers. Oh well, I'll just stick to playing WoW and Diablo for now ;) ALSO I AM A BIT JEALOUS OF THAT FRACTURED LIGHT but nevertheless, I'm happy to know it was AMAZEBALLS. So many things to look forward to soon!!! (P.S. THESE SHALLOW GRAVES is really, really, really good).

@Aila - GOOD LUCK WITH SCHOOL DEAREST. I know they suck right now, but Winter break should happen soon right? :D Plus, PIANO! Pianos rock. If I didn't have such a terror of a teacher back in my grade school years, I'd probably still be learning today. Haha.

@Jenna - DO YOU LIKE ANIME AND MANGA TOO BECAUSE I LOVE ANIME AND MANGA TOO. We have Japanese festivals here too (mostly just an exhibit and some movies) but I wish we had something as big as yours! PLus, WHAT 30 BOOKS?!?!?! HOLY CRAP GIRL YOU'RE A BEAST :D I'm saving every penny right now though for my wedding so I haven't gotten a chance to buy a single book :(

OOOOOH DAMN. Number 2 has my interest immediately. The way it was worded makes it sound like the girl changed his life for the worse... I just hope it's not some sort of manic pixie girl kinda thing again a la Paper Towns, though. The first one doesn't sound bad, too!

YIKES. That really does sound very misleading and honestly very boring. I've read something like this before - book says it's about this and that, but the story is 100% sex and random facts of the cast of people. I didn't enjoy it then, and I doubt I'd enjoy it now.

Not sure what to think about this one. On one hand, it does sound a wee bit unrealistic, but on the other hand, this actually does happen. Even the most intelligent people in the world fall victim to domestic abuse because of the power/dominance that was put over them by their partners. It's sad when you think about it, but it does happen.

ACTUALLY, I'D LOVE TO HAVE A BOOK ABOUT MILLIE, TOO. I love Willowdean of course - many of her insecurities were some of my insecurities before. I tried so hard back then to exude confidence even though I was brimming with frustrations and insecurity inside. Probably why so many people were comfortable calling me jokingly, "Hey, fattie!" because I acted like I didn't care when I actually did and I would shut down inside. Haha! In any case, it's understandable that this one didn't completely work for you, BUT SRSLY I WOULD LOVE A MILLIE SPIN OFF!

Yup, this is pretty much my co-blogger's complaints about this book in a nutshell. She literally felt it was half-assed - no spine, no direction, lacking depth. Maybe they were meant simply for a younger audience? But Young Adults nowadays are smarter than what we give them credit for, so I'm not sure I would have appreciated this if I were fifteen. I read Twilight at 15 and stopped after fifty pages XDD

First of all, I'm glad that there are more heroes and heroines out there who cater to people from all walks of life. More relatable heroines is a win-win for everybody - people not of their group can learn and understand them better, and people from their group will be able to find someone to identify with.

But it's sad to know that this wasn't the perfect book we hoped it would be :( If there is no connection to the heroines, any of them, it would be hard to feel invested in something, even if it is rich in diversity. But still, I see this as a win in the long run :D

Out of the two, LULLABY is intriguing me the most. I know you rated it three stars, which for me translates to "It was decent" but I have this burning urge to get my hands on it. I think it's because it poses a lot of questions for morality and ethics which I am fascinated in. I'm weird, I know. Haha!

AAAHHH I wish I had taken an eARC of this one when it was still up on Edelweiss! I'm a fan of both Jennifer Donnelly AND Libba Bray so this would have been perfect for me. Nevertheless, it IS out now ;) So I can get my hands on it easy-peasy!
