Yes, this is all true whether an atheist or not, and that dogmatic religion help create it is beyond a doubt. However, religion has been confused with spirituality forever. No spiritual person, particularly founders ever got hung up in metaphysics and the trappings of religion. Statesman that use the trappings of religion to wield power are political hacks and perpetrate a great evil upon the earth. The the powerful elite wrapped themselves in their religion to justify killing is no more an argument against spirituality and a looking to Source than wrapping oneself in the flag to justify killing damns the country. There are many ways to experience god, that we have historically done so in very shallow ways, condemns us, not god.

Money is worth what people say it is worth. If the 1% use their money only to build, maintain more money for the 1%, then the people (the 99% of us that are left), have little interest in that money. If the 1% could do this elsewhere, then they would be there. It is clear that even the small percentage of their income that is paid in taxes or in lobbying is used to leverage the government at all levels to guarantee that they continue to control the rest of us in ways that mostly just ensures they not just make a profit, but control more and wealth.

Instead of saying how much the 1% pays in taxes, ask what percentage of what they own is paid in taxes? Instead of saying how many high paying jobs they provide, ask what percentage of the general population has such jobs? Looked at that way, I am surprised that #MayDay is not in hundreds of more cities.

I think the major threat to humanity at the moment is conservative overstatement.

If really had a billionaire that was working for a social utopia, I would back him. The fact is we don't. If we did have one then billions would be invested in community building and empowerment, not making more money. Soros is just like any #Kochsucker. There is not religion, politics or pleasure for them except money and power. If you want to twist it otherwise for your own purpose, then you become nothing more than their tool.

Glenn Beck is such a bigoted ass. He gave this all the gravity any bigoted bastard would. He is so stupid that he does not even know high school American history and he is clearly blind to his off hand racist remarks.

"Christianity is a scam in Africa, a scam for sex, for money, for power."

And how many other elements of our "culture" reduces to just that in Africa? Look at any culture destroyed by colonialism and you will see the same thing. The Christian piece just appears to be the most glaring.
