I think I'm less into the idea of New Adult now than I was in high school, somehow. But I still think it really should happen -- there's an audience for these books, I'm absolutely sure of it. Aussie YA is more open to having these older characters (although I still don't think there are enough of them). Nomes over at inkcrush did a great post, listing a bunch of New Adult-ish YA (link: http://inkcrush.blogspot.com/2011/09/aussie-ya-ol.... Maybe you could book depository some of these or something? Something in the World Called Love by Sue Saliba and Suburban Freakshow sound somewhat like what you're looking for.

The cover is amazing, and I read the first chapter of it the other day -- it was AWESOME. I'm really looking forward to this one :)

Thanks for this Steph, it's an awesome reminder to take a deep breath and that it's all okay.

My project for NaNo is, in one line, about an eighteen-year-old girl who's desperate to be fourteen again :)

I keep seeing raving reviews (awesome review, by the way:)) for this book! It sounds really amazing, so I can't wait to get my hands on it after the HSC.

It's a new Melissa Marr book! I quite like what I've read of hers -- I'm currently reading Fragile Eternity, so I'm a bit behind, but nevertheless I'm excited for a new book in the series.

I have three exams left *jealous*. I don't have a dress, either. I'm intending to go shopping and find one sometime after the HSC, lol (this plan will most likely fail. I'm a terrible shopper).

And I'm not doing actual *schoolies* (like the Gold Coast. I'd probably hate that, and it does seem like a ton of work). A group of friends and I are just going to either Port Stevens or Byron (I can't remember, lol) for a week. It's more like your Noosa thing.

I usually write around 60,000 words during NaNo. Last year was the exception, because I had to cram it into fourteen days to accommodate the first assessment, so I only managed 45,000 words.

This year's going to be something like last year, I have some revisions to do that I should get back to my agent ASAP, so I'll probably spend the first week of November doing that. And there is my fake-schoolies week. So I have two weeks left, haha. I'm interested to see whether I can crack 50,000, lol. But I'll be proud of myself whatever I get to, as well -- NaNo's more just about fun.

This sounds really cool. I don't generally like paranormal novels very much, but I did just enjoy Beautiful Creatures, so I'm eager to read other good ones. Embrace sounds really awesome (apart from the love triangle stuff, I kind of hate love triangles. And they seem to be everywhere -- it's an epidemic! ;)).

Thanks for the review -- I really liked reading the quotes you posted, as well :)

I'm doing NaNo! I always do NaNo, lol. Even during exams *stupid*. And hehe, my exams finish on the 2nd (yay!) But then I'm going on schoolies for a week during November (I have this really funny mental picture of me typing away on my laptop while everyone else parties away, haha), and we still have our formal, so there's really a load of time in November that I'm going to miss.

I'm hoping I can still do it :)

Also, I looooove your photo inspiration. Pre-emptive good luck (and I will add you on the site when I either a) figure out my old log-in or b) start a new account -- b is looking more likely, haha).

Woo! I'm so glad to see You Wish getting some love. I actually haven't picked this up yet *shameface* (blaming it on exams), but I absolutely adore Mandy (she's a member of my group blog :)), and her writing in general, so I'll definitely be picking it up ASAP :D

I think I'd be boring and choose to live in the world of HP, lol :)
