Went there last year and with 3 others as part of a trip to Brussels and Bruges; we each bought a six pack of beer, along with a commemorative set of glasses that comes with 2 beers each (this was the maximum allowance for each person). We brought them back in our suitcases and we have been slowly allotting them for special occasions, but it has been tough. However, it was a fantastic trip- the drive was glorious and we got to see the Belgian countryside. The abbey was a huge detour from our other itinerary items, but it probably is one of the more memorable items from our stay.

I heard a rumor that a restaurant in New York will occassionally get their hands on some and sells it for something ridiculous like $100 a bottle, and people actually buy it! That seems completely insane to me, but flying to belgium for some reason doesn't.

I really liked it. I had watched some of the early Torchwood episodes and found them a little too cheesy and more obsessed with being titilating than being profound. I had heard great things about the Children of Earth series, but I never got to catch it, but I was very interested to hear that in porting from the UK to the US they were not going to reboot but rather continue the series. It retains its charm and eeriness, but adds a little more of the US boilerplate procedural, which might get annoying and cliche eventually, but for now I'm liking how this is starting.

For the longest time I used "Mac The Ripper". The old version via rosetta was free and the new version is very hard to get a hold of.

I just switched to Fairmount.

Straight people are so weird.

Can't you just cruise in the steam rooms like normal people?

I agree- I think even Dan Savage said on one of his recent podcasts that he thought the 10% number was a little high, and not based on scientific data.

The focus shouldn't be on the quibbling over exactly what percent it is, but to acknowledge that even if it is only 4-5%, that's still plenty.
