I am with you - Alien is a better film than Aliens (I do like Aliens, but it's meathead macho fun vs a beautifully crafted character horror). My unpopular Alien opinion: I enjoyed Prometheus :) My unpopular James Cameron opinion: I don't like Terminator 2. I love Terminator, but I can't bear Edward Furlong. Every time he opens his mouth my disbelief fails in the face of his awful acting.

I mostly enjoyed The Abyss Surrounds Us - I had a few moments along the way (I don't do fabulously well with YA tropes), but it won me over by the end. After all, it's kaiju vs pirates with girls kissing. What's not to like?
