Thank you! Yes, we're very excited. I'm having a lot of fun planning for our little guy's arrival. :) And no problem! I still love this meme, I just can't always participate in it as well. I'm glad you guys enjoy it too, and welcome back! :)

lol Yeah, definitely a good way. :) Hopefully I'll get in the mood to do some more reading here soon though. But I kind of go through phases every year anyways. Seems like around September (now) is when I kind of fade off and then usually get back into it in the beginning of the following year. lol I don't know why, but that's my cycle for some reason. :-P Hopefully I'll get back in the mood to read earlier than that this time because I'm due in February and I doubt I'll have the time then! lol

There's a new one on the first of each month, so you can post to May's Random Reads now. You can find the link to it in my left sidebar. :)

I hear ya. That's how it is for me a lot of the time, but not always. With Sookie/True Blood I started the books first and hated the first couple, then watched the TV show and loved it. And I watched the American Psycho movie a few weeks ago and loved it, but now I'm reading the book and I'm liking the book more. Chronicles of Narnia I love both the movies and the books, same with Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (even though the movie is a lot different than the book). So anyways it's not always one or the other for me. I just try to get in the mindest of it being a completely different story that's similar to its counterpart rather than hoping for a shot-for-shot remake of the book (or movie if I've seen that first). I think that helps to be able to enjoy (or not enjoy) each venue independently.

I've already read the second book in this series and still really like it. I did decide to watch the first episode of Dexter (after reading the second book) which is about half of the first book and it was alright, but it doesn't seem like the guy playing Dexter really capture's the book character's personality all that well. Maybe it gets better or maybe it's just different, I don't know. But after watching that one episode I decided to put off watching them until I've finished the book series. That way I can hopefully enjoy both.

lol That sounds like something I would do, read a book that wasn't even picked. Well, at least you'll have the opportunity to read two books this month. I've heard really good things about Angelfall so I hope you enjoy it! I've been wanting to read that one too.

I've already read a little bit of it and I'm really enjoying it so far. Anne is such an endearing character, so full of life and wonder. I really love her.

And yeah, I'm not too worried about my reading slump. It's not the first one I've had and I'm sure it won't be the last. I seem to be a seasonal reader (any season but winter? which seems random lol). Hopefully Anne of Green Gables will help get me out of it. :)

I'm the same. Just the last book and the novellas. It's a trilogy so there should be only three, unless the author decides to continue. I wish I would've read it closer to when I read the others. I remember the jist of what's going on, but I've forgotten a lot about it.

Nope, you're definitely not the only one. I still want to try to get through the whole series though since it's such a popular one. It's one of those things. lol

Yeah but that was both good and bad. I like it when a book does that even if it's a tough subject. It was definitely heavier than her other books though.

Thankfully I don't have to buy it because it's at my library but I agree. I hate it when books only come out in hardcover, especially if you already have all the mass markets and want to stay consistent on your bookshelf.
