Big Journalism : Old Media Ignores March For Life While It Happens

They always ignore it, as someone else says, it doesn't fit the narrative. Have no idea how many attended/marched probably in the neighborhood of 1/4 million or so.

HillBuzz.org : The Coming Disaster for Chicago: The G8 Summit in May

Well, I thought the last debate was the best one so far, but this one was even better. I actually thought all of the candidates did really well. They actually answered the questioned, challenged each other, responded well when challenged, explained their individual stances and the differences between them...all in all, an excellent debate. I do think Mitt had a few moments where he seemed flustered and got beat down a bit, especially over releasing his tax forms, etc., but he answered the rest of the questions very well. If someone asked me which debate to watch to help them make a decision, I would definitely recommend this one. After all the questions were answered, it really just boils down to whom you agree with the most. I'm a little bit more excited about this election after watching tonight's debate!

HillBuzz.org : Why Rick Santorum's Pennsylvania Residency Scam and School Tuition Fraud Still Matters - And Why He

I don't really think Santorum did anything as bad as the 'waitress sandwich' that Kennedy and Dodd pulled. I personally kind of like him, he seems straight forward but then I don't know him that well. At this point, even reading the 'dirt' published in this thread I would vote for him. Also the other Rick too, much as he puts his foot in his mouth. I'd even vote for Newt as I kind of like him too. Romney, I'd hold my nose but no way would I vote 3rd party or for that idiot we have in office now.

HillBuzz.org : The Reagan Library's Philippine Shell Christmas Tree (Just One of Many State Gifts on Display)

I visited the Reagan Library in 2000. That was before President Reagan died and before AF One was there; the place was simple with many books and souvenirs available. I did a 'self tour' and was impressed especially by the location overlooking LA Basin. Have been back once, in June of 2004 for his funeral. Awesome view from the top of the mountain.

HillBuzz.org : Former Democrats: What Was The Last Straw?

I became a Democrat in 1963 when I got married; my wife to be was taken with JFK, and funnily he was assasinated just shortly before our wedding which occurred 12/28/63; Be that as it may, my final straw was George McGovern in 1972; I voted for him against Nixon but he was totally wasted by Tricky Dick. I think old George finally did win his own state of SD. The reason I quit the democratic party was abortion, it began rearing it's ugly head then and has been or seemed to be what the democrats were all about. I actually still carry the brand around, but I haven't voted for one for a long time. Too lazy to change registration, I guess. So I'm a dino. ;)

HillBuzz.org : Wisconsin Ground Report: What's happening with the teachers' unions there?

I will reiterate atlmom's comments about unions. My first introduction to unions I was living in CA and you had to join, no ifs ands or buts. Also the dues were taken out of your check, so there wasn't much you could do about it. I agree the unions have done some great things, but that's pretty much in the past. I watched the video about the Messmer school at the Althouse blog so I've already seen it. I saw the obnoxious dude with the beard harrassing that lady at the school ( I didn't know if she was a parent or teacher) but she just ignored him. He was an asshole if you don't mind me saying so, almost sounded like he had practiced the speech many times using all the code words from the playbook. What a jerk. I don't know if he knew he was being taped, but if that woman wants to sue his ass the guy or gal who taped him has the evidence of harrassment.
