Oh Internet! : Google Chrome Beats Internet Explorer as the Most Popular Browser, Though Not For Long

I personally will not switch from Firefox to any other browser until there's an add-on that is as powerful as NoScript. I just love it so much!

I'm not surprised. As soon as I read it, I started trying to make up a melody to it in my head. Kudos to not doing something stupid like dubstep or rap, but having the class to put this to the tune "The Very Model of a Modern Major General"

Oh Internet! : Oh, Citigroup: Meet the Streisand Effect

Yes, Citigroup does have the responsibility to inform its investors. But their "responsibility" involves kicking common decency in the face for the sake of continued profit. Instead of trying to continually gather more money than they could ever use, more of the super-rich should use their excess wealth to do good works, like Warren Buffett and Bill Gates are, and they're considered saints among the wealthy in spite of being the two richest people on the planet. Not only will it benefit those who aren't as ridiculously fortunate as they are, but it will do wonders for their own public image and if you believe that sort of thing, their personal karma. I do not know if this is active malevolence on the part of the super-rich or sheer ignorance, but they don't fully grasp the good they can do if they just stopped concerning themselves with making themselves richer so they can buy more ultimately useless things. They also don't understand that even though they may get taxed a higher percentage, they can afford to take the hit, while the poor can't. It goes for everyone, but if we all spent a day in each other's shoes, we'd understand each other a lot more.

Oh Internet! : "Wanna see mah Pokemans?": Add to circular file

It's all about knowing your audience, but I suspect even the most laidback of creative companies would like some manner of professionalism in a resume. Also, employers HATE multi-page resumes. They get so many that they don't have the time to read each and every one.

Oh Internet! : Stop Internet Censorship

A thought: Hasn't Google been against this since day 1? They'll probably fight this to the Supreme Court the first chance they get, and they could very well win. Why? Because they have money, and they'd have to comply with this bullcrap otherwise. Edit: Based on articles I'm reading, GoDaddy has withdrawn sponsorship of the bill due to...ICanHasCheezeburger of all groups, threatening to change its 1000+ domains to another host. In addition, basically every major Internet company is openly against this. Granted, they're going to lose a lot of money if this happens, but it's still good to know they're standing with us, the denizens of the Internet.
