I learned in business that I was never very successful when I tried to apply pressure on others. I did much better when I was peaceful in my approach to others, even to my enemies. I am also not Chinese, and my ten years working with them taught me a LOT. They are far wiser in many respects than us westerners will ever be, but our cultures are different. I really like their non-confrntational approach to problem solving. The whole idea of saving face is a good one. IMO. A zero sum game is one I invariably do not play - I try to have all relationships be win-win. Having said that, my success rate with win-win is, sadly enough, not 100%.
