because I'm like a normal fan who changes his opinion on a weekly basis ?
heck I thought the Pats were fked after the Browns tore them a new one

jokes aside, you make a good point but I think most of our (or at least my) opinion is based on the fact that New England has defeated teams like the Jets, the Steelers, the Colts, the Ravens, the Chargers - all of whom were assumed to be the strong playoff contenders... they are running out of teams to beat in the AFC ... I think amongst the playoff contenders, they have not defeated the Chiefs & the Jags but I don't think they have faced or face any of those two(at least the Jags for sure)

I can understand their offense playing like a well-oiled machine but it baffles me as to why teams(leave out the Jets, I saw about 10mins of their offense today & it makes one puke) aren't scoring against such a young defense. This is after they have lost starters like Bodden & Warren to IR. Hoodie is way too good :-(

once the CBA situation clears up, teams will have a better idea of how much would you be willing to pay him... with Manning's contract expected to eat up some chunk of the salary cap, it will be interesting if the Colts can manage to keep him for an incentive-based contract
