I absolutely love it! It would be so great to come to your bus stop and find it in party style :D Marvellous way to make someone's day!

Let's see...

I have yet to come across someone who did NOT like the prize-winning Room by Emma Donghue! So that would be a treat! :) Thanks for the giveaway.

Thanks for the giveaway! I'm one of the few people who haven't read The Book Thief yet... so I've entered. ;)

My international literary giveaway is up too -- are you in for some nineteen eighties nostalgia?

Lipstick in Afghanistan sounds interesting -- The Wasted Vigil (Nadeem Aslam) was my favourite read of 2010 and it is all about 'postwar' Afghanistan too.

TNX for the international giveaway! Mine is worldwide as well.

One of the tasks on my Bloggiesta to-do list is actually 'decide on set weekly time to blog'!
I always feel overwhelmed by all the posts I can't manage to write and it might help me feel more at peace during the rest of the week.
Now I've decided on days (Wednesday and Saturday or Sunday) but don't know yet how much time I should contribute. I'm a slow blogger ;) I'm thinking 2x4 hours. Also, I won't be allowed to blog in the evenings anymore... I have a hard time getting to sleep! :( We'll see how it goes.

Ha! You just keep thinking that! *Of course* we're ultra modern and educated, and now that you mention it: liberal, democratic, free-thinking etc. LOL :) We like to think so too, but alas... ;)

What's this about not being in the x-mas spirit I keep reading in my usual round of blogs? *starting to get worried about a virus*

True, I'm not in the mood yet myself, but that's normal at this time of month. Our (rental) tree is coming on Saturday (18th) and that will probably be the beginning of some festive feelings! Have you tried baking??? ;)

And I can't believe I *still* haven't seen Love Actually (I think), maybe that would be a great follow-up to decorating our Christmas tree!

I hope you'll get into the season's spirit REAL soon!

Nice post Judith! I'm still not sure if I don't regret joining in the Book Read 'Round the World, but this way at least I can join in the fun a little. ;)

As a Dutch grrl I can say that windmills ARE cool. *And* typically Dutch. Since there are not many around anymore it is fun to come across them on a hike. But we really don't live in them wearing clogs, like some foreigners seem to think :\ And the touristy stuff about it makes 'us' shiver indeed. ;)

Next time you need Dutch books in English you should go to Waterstones, Judith!
