Stopped over from Imperfect Prose today. I forgot how much I love your voice, Lisa! You are an encouragement to me.

What a beautiful idea! I spearheaded a Valentine's Banquet for couples at our old church, but we've since left under much pain. Every V-day, I miss the planning and the serving for that banquet. Your post was a beautiful glimpse into something sacred from my past.

Wow, what a great list. Your list of spiritual clutter is compelling. I've been on a decluttering kick in my home for a year now (doesn't feel like I'm making much progress) but more and more I'm moved to declutter my mind. I like to keep things busy so I don't have to focus on pain, doubt...or even worship! It's just too hard, emotionally. This year I'm hoping to change some of that. Be quiet and still and let God wash over some of those aching places inside. Thank you for this practical and beautiful post!

At the end of failure. That's the unexpected place I always find Him waiting patiently, and somehow it always surprises me anyway...that He's there, that there is no condemnation, that I am His beloved.

This is beautiful. As one who's stopped breathing for real several times, the imagery of this post really hit hard for me. I myself wrote this week about God's patient pursuit of us until we understand that we are His beloved. Thank you for sharing...this dovetailed perfectly with what God's been whispering through a very hard week for me.

You look like early 30's, Lisa - you are 'aging' VERY gracefully! :-)

Lisa, I would've sworn we were the same age! And yes - thank GOODNESS we are never standing still. Although at times I definitely feel like it's a "one step forward, two steps back" walk!

"So stick with Who you know, not what you know." I love this, Lisa! What a great letter. I really enjoyed reading it. A lot to learn - even for me, at 33! :-)

I'm sure there was no pun intended with "solid plan of attack" but the nurse in me had a good belly laugh over it! :-D
