One of my college students had migraines that were almost completely debilitating. She was able to go to school because she had a service dog that would bark 15 minutes before her next headache would start. This would give her the time to take her medicine. It was INCREDIBLE. It happened one time in class. One bark, that was it. Gave her just enough time. Service dogs rock.

Love this! I saw a local high school production of In the Heights this past weekend, and I recommend it to everyone. Fantastic!!

Grease generally hits me like a punch in the face unless I imagine Rizzo and Sandy ending up together. So this is a very interesting and in-depth take on it. I really really hate just about everything about it though, so I'm not the musical's target audience. Since it's so popular, I'm glad to read this analysis - if my daughters one day decide they love it I will not despair.

I really appreciate this. I see many queer folk writing/talking about how they are able to reconcile the abuses of their childhood religion with their personal faith as adults. And I just can't get there. It's just too traumatic to even consider. I really appreciate reading the perspective of someone who has taken that one step further, and pondered what it means to believe in just what's here rather than what may or may not be out there. Thank you!

Big fan of Don/Cosmo here, also total agreement with the Charade pairing lasting forever.
