Being a historical YA fiction fan already, I really enjoyed the first two books in this series and had wondered what had happened to the third one - it had the potential to really be something amazing! It's definitely something sad to see, I guess it makes it all the more important to show how much we do appreciate the books we love!

I absolutely adore 'A Tree Grows in Brooklyn' - it's a story that's stayed with me ever since I read it years ago. I definitely need to get onto Graceling - I don't read a lot of high fantasy but it sounds like one I'd enjoy. Thanks for the tag Cass, and wonderful post!

It sounds like things are really busy for your Jeann - but I'm sure you'll get through it! <3 Sad to hear you aren't completely loving The Winner's Kiss so far - I haven't started it yet but have high hopes since I loved the other two books so much. Hope everything goes well for you this week :)

I actually went into the movie not having read the book, and ended up enjoying it more than I thought I would. I have to agree though, some of the plot was stretching it a tad too far, and the 'I choose you' part was more than a little cliche....That being said - Alex Roe seemed to be a good casting choice ;) In any case, I'm now debating whether to read the books...though I do want to know what happens next! Thanks for sharing your thoughts Jeann :)

OMG I HAVE SEEN SO MUCH RAVING ABOUT THIS BOOK! I feel weird that I haven't read it yet but when I do I am expecting big things :) The unique format definitely seems to set this book apart, and when it comes to a sci-fi adventure executed well, it can't get much better than that! Thanks for the fantastic review Jeann :)

What a fantasic post Jenna! Contemporary reads are often relatable, and there's so many different sub-genres within that to find just what you need for every mood. I love books from Morgan Matson, Ginger Scott and Jessi Kirby in particular :)

I saw this at the shops the other day and didn't buy it, but I'm now wishing I had! I love historical fiction, and this rendition of Alexander's life looks really fascinating. Thanks for the wonderful review Jeann :)

I *still* need to read Reckoning! I am looking forward to finishing the series though, especially because I need some answers and am looking forward to seeing what twists are still to come. Glad to see you liked The Potion Diaries as well - I loved how lighthearted and fun it was to read, especially in those scenes with 'Lyn'. Afterlight sounds promising, and I love books set in Australia so it should be good! Thanks for sharing these wonderful reviews Jeann :)

It's interesting how colouring books have come back into the forefront of the book world these days - it looks like lots of fun though! I remember having a stack of those when I was younger and it was definitely therapeutic. Hmm I might invest in getting one of those new ones now - they're so pretty!
