Yeah, I was wondering about that when Don didn't end up in LA at the end of last season. I mean, I really can't picture Don living anywhere but NY, but Cali has always been propped up as the Promised Land of the show. Like in that one episode where Don basically baptized himself in the Pacific.

I have never understood couples that feel the need to do everything together. You were separate beings before meeting, you have separate social lives, different tastes and desires regarding how you want to spend your free time, there is no need to shoehorn yourself into their friend circle or vice versa. The whole thing smacks of codependence after a certain point. I find it really strange when I go out with a group of friends/assorted acquaintances and they're like, "Where's your husband??!" like I'm not allowed to be out without a chaperone.
