In college I remember feeling like I had some (not overtly stated, but subconsciously present) resentment when a girl I dated for a brief while dated Asian guys both before and after me (I'm white, she's biracial Asian but looks more on the white side I think) - the societal rejection of Asian men you speak of made me feel unattractive by proxy, especially when it took me a long time to get over her.

What a horrible thought that was for me to have; sure, it should have been obvious to me then, but it wasn't, and I'm grateful to this article for helping me articulate that and use it to fight my ingrained prejudices. Thank you for writing this, for many reasons.

I mean, did you see them at the Preakness, where at least there was a whole event of horse racing? Or did you voluntarily go to something at which Macklemore was the primary attraction?

I only used two in high school: walruspiggie and, a couple years later,
