It'll come down to point costs and upgrade options.

If min squad size is 5 for SoB and immos can get blessed ammo (+1S prob), then we're looking at similar builds to coteaz razor spam. Dominions with scout is nice too, again will depend on point cost and upgrade costs.

I could see armies looking like this
4x 5 SoB w/ melta + immo with blessed bolters
2x 10 SoB w/ 2 melta, vet w/ Eviserator + rhino
2x 5 Dominions w/ 2-4 melta + immo with heavy flamer
3x Exorsist
2x Priest with assassins in rhinos

But like I said, it depends on point costs.

There is one reason and one reason only why I give these rumours any consideration. One of the new rumours guys from warseer, Ghost21, who posted rumours for GK that were highly accurate and was WAY before anyone else too, has posted and said that what he has seen looks pretty accurate.

I'm still taking it with salt, but I'm also looking at the new rules and looking at the new codexes and seeing how all the new codexes since Nids have had 6th edition in mind.

Take for instance the trygon with it's silly tunnels that it creates when deep striking. This rule is useless in 5th ed cause you can't control what comes in first. Come along 6th ed and the trygon opens up a whole new avenue of attack for Nids, simply cause you can designate waves.

Just read through the rumours and all the current codexes.

I don't get some of your comments and they seem a bit short sighted or you're commenting just for the sake. For instance, it was stated that 35%~ of people would stop spending money at GW, and your comment was that the rest would be spending money. I don't get this.

A 35% decrease in sales, is bad. It's never good. Yes they still have 65% of their people spending money, but they used to have 100% of those 504 people. GW might still be making a profit, but the profit margin is increasing less and less each year. Each year the bitching gets louder and louder. How long till that profit margin is on a decline?

I like your blog and your battle reports, but this post just looks like it's poking fun for the most part. Yes you're poking at GW too, but for the most part your ripping the poster and it looks like you're coming off as a bit of a fan boy.

The DRPG has me a bit confused. According to my monkey maths, my GK list is on par with both the top Nova lists of last year in terms of shooting MEQ and assaulting them. The problem comes in when looking at rhinos as my figures are like 40 points off, I haven't done LRDPG yet. Now this might just mean that my list is better at killing infantry out boxes, rather than the boxes themselves, but I think I'm doing the maths wrong.

Do you take into account glances at all, for instance, 3 glance result of a 5 or 6 will result in a wreck

For instance 24 psycannons = 15.84 hits = 5.2 Pen/2.5 glance
5.2 Pen = 1.7 DR
2.5 Glance = 0.55 DR (2.5 * 0.33 weapon destroyed/immobile and then divide by 3 as you need 3 results to wreck a rhino)
So together that equals 2.25 DR, which is 11.25 DRPG

I haven't taken in to account the glances, but I want to know if I should.

Is my monkey maths correct?

I based my current 1750 list from your Event Horizon list

Coteaz
Inquisitor, PA, 3x Servo Skulls, Daemon Hammer

Vindi
5x Purifers w/ 2x Psycannon, Hammer, 2 Halberd, Psyback
5x Purifers w/ 2x Psycannon, Hammer, 2 Halberd, Psyback

10x GKSS w/ 2x Psycannon, Hammer, Psybolt, Rhino
10x GKSS w/ 2x Psycannon, Hammer, Psybolt, Rhino
5x Warrior Accolytes w/ 3x Melta, Psyback
5x Warrior Accolytes w/ 3x Melta, Psyback

Dread w/ 2x TL Autocannon, Psybolt
Dread w/ 2x TL Autocannon, Psybolt

I've really been liking the way this list plays. The vinid really screws with my opponents deployment. I'm thinking about dropping the servo skulls though, they haven't really done anything yet.

From the rumours we're seeing that were released this weekend on BoK (and as much as I hate to admit it, he's right about alot of stuff), it looks like they won't just be getting a rules and points update with the WD release, but a decent overall.

I'd say wait for the WH release, see what its like, if you don't like it, hold out till Halloween for Necrons.

Sorry, but you can you please explain how the broodlord makes GK make tests with -1LD? Afaik, that power is used at the beginning of the assault phase, at exactly the same time as some of the GK powers that are used in assault, so it would be useless against hammerhand or cleansing flame. Any LD tests taken after that point, like force weapons would be done with -1LD yes, but vs stealers, you don't need the ID so much. It also only lasts for the that assault phase.

Unless I'm missing something, but I've been using broodlords myself for quite some time and I've pretty much never found the power useful. Hypnotic gaze on the other hand is a awsome power. Specially vs MCs.

Isn't the CSS a HQ choice? He's allowed 1 HQ from the IG codex, so I don't see the problem.
