To be fair, they're both a bunch of loons beating each other with no reason. The difference between them is that the WWE is a bunch of loons fake-beating each other, according to a script, for entertainment purposes. The UFC is a bunch of real loons, actually beating the crap out of each other, because of their own egos. You're comparing actors to gladiators, and acting like gladiators have the moral high ground, when they're the ones actually purposely injuring each other.

The interest in this story is too damn low. I read this back when it was posted a few months ago, it's fantastic. You're doing yourself a disservice if you're not reading it.

This is so full of lolz, and so full of every cringe that ran through me with the initial Twilightlicious. For the first time RD, I'm right there with you.

Don't even argue about picture inconsistencies. The Apache in Medal of Honor? Look left. The damn power levers are off. I raged so hard.

Every time I see one of these I consider calling them and acting extra, super extreme. I mean, off the wall clopper furry glitter fetish borderline bestiality nutso planning a Mane6 full body suit tattoo. I would do this so that If selected, I could simply show up in a suit and be absolutely normal and just totally ruin the entire taping. No fist fights? Calm reactions to the twits in the crowd? Even keeled responses to the most incendiary questions they could throw out? "Actually, no I don't fantasize about horses. I understand I DID say that in a pre show interview, but in actuality it was a calculated ploy to respond to YOUR calculated ploy to make an entire group of people look like a bunch of crazed lunatics humping each other while wearing unicorn horns and wings. We're actually a very normal group of people that managed to figure out how to shut you down before you got your first "clopper" joke off. On a separate note, did you know that when you intentionally stereotype entire groups of people in a negative manner, especially when broadcasting that viewpoint publicly, it's considered discriminatory and bigoted? It's generally looked down upon in modern society, and for good reason. Fostering negative attitudes based on trivial circumstance is poor social behavior." A million lulz would be had.

Then again, It would be kinda awesome to see one of the twits in the crowd charge down to start a fight and get laid out by a totally nonchalant Brony, who then proceeded to help the audience member back up to his feet and apologize for having to resort to violence to chill him out.

I think you guys are forgetting a key point. Everyone seems horrifically angry at the resellers, as if they are preventing people who wanted one from being able to get one. I'd like to remind you the opposite is true as well. I'm currently stationed in Korea, and my wife is living on a shoestring budget in the states. Neither one of us had any possibility of getting to ComicCon, but thanks to one of these resellers I had the opportunity to get one for my wife. If it weren't for these heartless bastards, I wouldn't have been able to do that.

Frankly, if you're complaining about the markups, that's not their fault either. It's capitalism at it's finest. People will pay what they are willing to pay to get what they want. If someone is willing to pay more, then that person wins. Everyone involved in the exchange shoul go home happy. The guy who bought it got what he wants, the reseller made the best profit he could, and anyone that wasn't willing to pay that amount to get a toy didn't have to. It's not ideal, but with limited editions you shouldn't get irate because you couldn't get one at base cost. Thats kinda the point of limited editions, they're limited.

I hate myself for doing this, but we seem to have a lot of guys that AREN'T in the military that may not understand the regulations being breached here. Be prepared for regulation Copypasta. I'm sorry.

AR 670-1 is the Army regulation regarding the wear and appearance of Army Uniforms.

1-10. When the wear of the Army uniform is required or prohibited
E. Wear of military and civilian items.
(1) The wear of a combination of civilian and military clothing is prohibited, unless prescribed in this regulation or other authorization documents approved by HQDA.
>Being an unapproved patch, by regulation the guardsmen could not wear the RD patch in combination with his uniform. The fact that it was prominent and blatant is what really makes it a bonehead move.

1-10. When the wear of the Army uniform is required or prohibited

j. Wearing Army uniforms is prohibited in the following situations:

(1) In connection with the furtherance of any political or commercial interests, or when engaged in off-duty civilian employment.

(2) When participating in public speeches, interviews, picket lines, marches, rallies, or public demonstrations, except as authorized by competent authority.

Hasbro, and My Little Pony by proxy, are commercial entities, and Bronycon was specifically in support of them, making line 1 applicable. Line 2 comes in because the event was also being covered by media, and it was pre-announced that the Bronycon documentary crew would be filming a segment on Military Bronies. I am making the reasonable assumption here that if he showed up in uniform(ish) that he was planning on attending this lunch and being filmed for the documentary.

These Ponies, they drive me to AR 670-1.

No worries as far as the flight suit goes, sorry if I was misconstrued as speaking on that particular picture. I'm aviation branch myself, I'm well aware that it's a different world over here when it comes to uniform regs. What goes on off the deck is the aircrews business, that's our world once wheels leave the ground. I was speaking specifically on the Guardsmen walking out in public in a jacked up ACU, in front of members of the media. It's a matter of time and place, as well as the old adage "do what your rank/position can handle." I frequently wear an unauthorized Brony tab under the shoulder pocket flap, same style as some people wear Sniper, Jungle or Fister tabs, or other various moral patches. It's not visible, doesn't detract from appearance, and really only serves as an inside joke to a select few people that even know it's there. It's a whole different story to replace Unit insignia with unauthorized patches when your attending an event that pre-announced that members of the military were going to be filmed for a documentary.

I only hope that everyone remembers that if it becomes necessary. When the course is in doubt, too often the soldiers go with whoever is providing the paycheck.
