I like reading about ballet too! I wanted to be a ballerina when I was very little, though that didn't really happen. Haha. And I agree that that cover is gorgeous. Too bad I couldn't join though - US address. D:

I love that cave picture. So pretty! Not that I'd want to go there. Haha. I LOVE Jessi Kirby's books, and I would definitely read this one. I've been wary of reading reviews because I wanted to go in blind, but I did appreciate yours. I personally don't like those "tell but not show" parts of books too, but I'm glad you still loved this one. And I've read so many contemporary books that I don't even mind the predictability most of the time. I'll surely be grabbing a copy some time soon.

YAY! Vacation time! For you anyway. Haha. I wouldn't complain about getting a little snow in my country. It's SO HOT! Just a little though because we're not built for that. Lol. Also, you have some great looking books there. I hope you enjoy them. I've been hearing lots of good stuff. Also, Damsel Distressed is a personal favorite. :D

I just started reading this novel! 2 chapters in, and I think it's already interesting. A lot of people are loving this so I have high hopes for this one. I do feel like this is something my brother would love because he's more into games and stuff. I'm not sure I get all the references in this book. But it's still pretty fun, and I'm really looking forward to reading more. I really like your review because it gives me something to look forward to in the book, while not really spoiling anything.

I think I tend to mix up my reviews. Some are emotional while some are more critical. I guess it depends on my mood while writing the review. Though I do like reading both, I mostly like reading emotional reviews because they feel more personal, and maybe easier to relate to. This is a very interesting discussion.

Great review, Jeann! I wasn't sure whether I wanted to read this or not, but maybe I would give it a try if I had the chance. I'm quite afraid of the slow start though because it might make me want to give up, but I'm a sucker for good endings too. And I like reading about faerie worlds too.

This sounds like something I wouldn't really enjoy - the romance taking over the story and the concepts that are too hard to understand. I think I understand how you could get a headache with this one. I've read books like it and it's never a pleasant experience. The covers for this book are gorgeous though. :P

Too bad you didn't like this as much. I actually enjoyed watching it, but then again, I didn't really expect much from it. I do agree though that the first Captain America movie was terrible. And that romance in Avengers 2 was just way too weird. It came out of nowhere!
