May installments are marked off and I've already read a couple of chapters. The plot hasn't really emerged yet, but it's very readable.

I'd love to do this. I have had a copy of Les Miserables for so long, and it looks wonderful but terribly daunting. TO read with others over a year would be wonderful.

Goodness, if the series is up to twelve I have a few to catch up with. I love Alexander McCall Smith, though I have to be in the right mood for his books, and as I'm drawn to character driven quiet mysteries right now this could be the right time.

What a lovely idea! Coming from Cornwall I started reading Daphne Du Maurier at a very young age, but I'm sure there are some more books out there.
