Spring Breakfast Parfait {vegan+gf}
Very interesting post, and well written too! I've actually never tried fasted workouts before (at least not to my knowledge and on purpose), because if I'm too hungry and start to work out then I feel extremely weak and can't seem to complete my routines as well as when I have something in my stomach. On the other hand, I have a verrryyyyyyyy sensitive stomach and have to always time it just right to do cardio or any kind of jumping movement, usually at least 1.5 hours after eating. If I'm doing something like strength training it's not as big of a deal. But I'm still curious to see your little experiment! Keep us posted. :D
These look so cute and perfect! I always find it difficult to make cereal crisps actually stay crispy and intact~but yours look market shelf-worthy. :)
Oooh! Is that your momma? Cuz you girls look identical! Almost :) And I know that feeling of "oh mannnn I need to photograph with my phone..." as it always ends up looking fuzzy or dull. I feel like I've gotten pretty serious with photography in general as a hobby! I have learned to have so much fun with it and it lets my creativity keep running--sometimes. BTW, I really want to try cooking swiss chard! I think I've cooked with it once? So is your fave way of preparing it by steaming it?
This is too wonderful! Thankfully, today I got together with two of my sisters in Christ at church, and although they're always pressing on and positive about everything that's going on in their lives, they're struggling with SO much burden on their shoulders! We shared one another's burdens and prayed together. It was so powerful and encouraging for all 3 of us :) I feel like the Lord did something awesome there that I can't quite see with my physical eyes as of yet, but soon enough He'll unveil miracles.
Also, the part that sticks out to me is just how much I long to continue to laugh without fear of the future. Although I'm more inclined to be optimistic, lately (esp. today) has been rather challenging in terms of ministry. I'm constantly praying for our church and my husband who's the pastor, and it's so heart breaking when there's 'persecution' from the church itself for trivial matters. It's one thing to have heat coming from someone who doesn't know the Lord, but when it's the church itself, it can be so sad and I wonder what goes through God's mind. I hope that I'm not coming off as complaining here, but I thought it'd be helpful to me and to others that I share about this because throughout the day I found myself fighting off discouragement, fear, and sorrow. I know that in Jesus' name His will overcomes all else, and seeing how so many of you wonderful ladies are out there fighting the good fight is extremely strengthening to my spirit! :D What my husband talked about today was how we should be content no matter what circumstance we find ourselves in. So, let's laugh and rejoice because God is taking care of us! *phew* that was a long one. God bless you all immensely tonight and forevermore!!!!! <3
yes, amen to that!!! And I hear Beth Moore has amazing women's studies! I'm thinking of checking into them for our women's group (which hasn't officially started but is in the works, well somewhat...hehe)
ahhhh what a powerful reminder sistas!! :) I'm constantly pressed but gently nudged by Him to come in and sit before Him in silence. Just the fact that I'm able to sit silently and think upon Him is such a great gift. I'm also learning everyday really, that in order to love others like He loves them, I need to understand what His love for me means as well. It's two-sided really, isn't it? And this reminds me of Jesus Culture's song "how he loves us" :) Have a victorious day in the Lord girls! This is His life, not ours.
Hi Alex! So great to meet you, and glad I finally popped in here...I've been seeing your comments in several blogs ;) It seems like you have a great health philosophy. And so you're a cat lover huh?! My husband and I have two cats. I was never really a cat person till I met him, and now I think they're so cute and fun! But unfortunately, I have allergies. Hehe, keep in touch!
Oooo sounds like a great deal! Getting paid to work, AND a flexible atmosphere to work-out :D I normally have the most energy and motivation to workout during the day time, like near/around lunch too~so that's almost always my preference.
