at christmas time we give our teachers christmas decorations (not homemade or handmade!) ... but last term i made up a small bag of chocolates and a card to say thanks for being a great teacher. it was just a random day and both teachers felt so loved and blest (esp my daughters who is a first time teacher and was having a bad week) teachers are special people! great post !

oh i love it. my son turned 10 yesterday and he has those amazing lashes too. he has the cutest freckles across the bridge of his nose and the most amazing tan lines from being outside all the time over summer. i love to walk past him and run my hand over his head after a fresh haircut. and he loves backwards cuddles, esp now that he comes up to my chin. he is my heart. and my daughter, who is 6 and a half is delightful. the day she was born i put her on my shoulder and she nuzzled in and God said "she is delightful" and she is. she gives the sweetest hugs and has crazy energy and genetically knew that backrubs were akin to goodness. its good to remember these things, in the midst of "last week of term tiredness" and drinks that get knocked over and mud tracked through the house... they're mine. a gift from God.

Christian Web Trends Blog by OurChurch.Com : > @StickyJesus 15) you: a witness

love this chapter and love this post! i so so so so SO love this part: God the Father has prepared the most exquisite invitation. This invitation is divinely designed and weighted with His glory. The Father’s invitation beautifully presents his beloved son Jesus Christ, and announces a glorious work of redemption done on Calvary’s cross. It is an invitation open to all. As a follower of Christ, you have already RSVP’d yes! Yes Lord, to your will and to your way. God makes His appeal through you ambassador of Christ! Go and present the invitation to the wandering hearts online. Go and encourage the wandering hearts to RSVP yes to the King’s invitation. that just so says it all! heres my take: http://onepassiononedevotion.wordpress.com/2011/0...

Christian Web Trends Blog by OurChurch.Com : > @StickyJesus 13) demystifying: blogging

great convo and great points paul! for me as a writer blogging is such a gift - i can write and some people might read. i can communicate and people respond. and as a reader blogging is such a gift too because i can read other peoples stories and real life experiences. i can learn from them and be inspired by them and encouraged by them. ordinary people, like myself, who are making a difference. and i believe God speaks through blogging - He can use our words to speak to people. wow. How do you use your blog to minister to others? there are times i definately feel a nudge to post something - but there are other times when i am uising it like a file cabinet - storing quotes and thoughts. but i trust God that He can breathe upon anything i write and share. What things do you to help foster community on your blog? i always appreciate the comments - i'm a real words of appreciation love languages type of gal so love encouragement (though not living for it! mostly!) and i love to connect... i think responding always makes a connection and a difference. and then there are those who ahve commented that i've then connected with on fb and twitter - love that! heres my take incl a testimony of how God used a post from yesterday to encourage some readers, i love that: http://onepassiononedevotion.wordpress.com/2011/0...

such a powerful chapter! i included this quote in my post (see link below) and for me this is what sums up the cost: “There is a cost, but when you are in love with God, it seems like no cost at all.” -Damon Thompson and when i think about the ocst of the cross.... any cost i have pales in that great love... http://onepassiononedevotion.wordpress.com/2011/0...

i love that sandra! "I want my heart to melt into His so that any "self promotion" is only done to shine the light on Him. " its kind of an overflow thing isnt it... where your heart is there your treasure is... and then we overflow from that place. are we overflowing HIM or overflowing ourselves? i know what i rather want to do!

i love that point toni - is it me or is it jesus? and i often thiink does this HONOUR jesus? case in point, the end times weekend we just had. i posted 2 jokes that i had read (one referring to LOST, which i adore lol) but part of me also felt that i was joining in the media storm that was mocking christians. i loved many of the jokes i read, but couldnt in clear conscience for myself post them. its about being sensitive to His leading - to post or not to post.... i am glad of his grace and love and i want the world to know! http://onepassiononedevotion.wordpress.com/2011/0...

i think this was such a powerful chapter - a chapt to remind us of the grace of God and the choices we make to draw closer to that or to move away from that... i love connecting with people all over the world from different churches - such a blessing as i live in a small country... and enriching as we often can have different things we are passionate abut and be wired in different ways... i love how God has created THE BODY! we can learn from each others strengths and be scaffolded in our weaknesses, encouraged and inspired and challenged... i think other chrisitans can open our eyes to different aspects of God's heart... and i love that! http://onepassiononedevotion.wordpress.com/2011/0...

inspired and challenged to be a game changer - to believe for the greater things and for the extraordinary demonstrations of God's love and grace in my ordinary life... i love watching people BE who God has made them to be - to see them FLOW in that naturalness of living for Jesus and shinning for Him, and how that affects and effects people around them... lets BE the person that God can use! http://onepassiononedevotion.wordpress.com/2011/0...
