Pounded In The Bird By My Own Butt. No, wait -

This week's been rough mainly because my anxiety is BONKERS for no good reason, but -

1. A solid 10 days after they said they would make an admissions decision, I was accepted into my dream grad program - it looks like as of this fall, I'll be on the road to getting my Master's in Marital and Family Therapy! It's going to mean a lot more student debt and maybe I'll regret this in two years, but I'm so psyched that I even got in.

2. My friend's stepmom got us two tickets to this fancy fundraiser party on the waterfront. 3 hours of free fancy food and booze outside in the gorgeous weather, 3 hours of pretending to blend in with rich people. Delightful.

3. I thought I had missed an important deadline (filing my friends' marriage certificate; I officiated their wedding last month). Well, actually I DID miss an important deadline, but I called the office in a panic and they were like "oh it's actually no big deal, just send it in whenever." Wish I hadn't lost a night's sleep over it but hey.

4. I got to see Flight of the Conchords last weekend and they were GREAT.

5. I saw my psychiatrist this morning and she prescribed me a new anti-anxiety medication that I'm hoping will help out. Fingers crossed.

"none of my boyfriends are riverbank corpses if that’s what you’re worried about" is my Twitter bio and I'm never changing it.

I'm in a long-distance relationship and I adore my partner, but I am, frustratingly, crushing on one of my coworkers at my side hustle (working at a bakery). My friend described him as looking like a "poor man's Ryan Gosling." I wouldn't act on it, but I find myself dressing up a bit and maybe being a bit flirtatious when we work together. I'm not sure what I'd do if he showed any interest in return! This long-distance thing was easier when I wasn't facing any kind of temptation. Oops.

My cat eats his scratchpad. We have to replace it every few weeks. He's kind of....broken.

It's called The Covenant and I've completely spoiled the ending, but I think that's okay because it is Not what one would call a "good movie."

However, SebStan gets punched in the face and loves it, which is worth the price of admission, or would have been if I'd paid money to see it.

This was one of the first things I ever read on The Toast, thank you so much for bringing me full circle *sniff*

If you think the end of the Toast is gonna stop me from using the phrase "too witches" at every opportunity you couldn't be more wrong.

I watched a movie recently where Sebastian Stan turns out to be a bratty witch. I have no idea what else happened, plot-wise, but I got a lot of mileage out of "too witches."

I both missed "couch" AND read rabbits as "rabbis."

I'm not disappointed at all with the real story but I do think mine is better.

I honestly assumed that last list was real until I got to "Gamergate." Everything up to that seemed plausible.
