Stratejoy with Molly Mahar | Coaching, Courses & Community for Gen Y Women : 10 Ways to Get Your Act Together

I'm working on spirituality! I'm going to ask at least one friend to take me to their church of choice and maybe check out a couple of Universalist Unitarian sermons online? I'm also scared of stepping over the gap between yoga-in-a-studio to yoga-and-meditation-at-home - so I'll be DOING that!

Stratejoy with Molly Mahar | Coaching, Courses & Community for Gen Y Women : I Have Faith In What I See

I sort of have the opposite situation, Marian - perhaps I buy into faith too easily! I believe in the goodness of humans, even though I see and hear negativity more often. I have flip flopped between traditional Western ideas of Christianity and a more "new-age" Eastern-ish belief in the power Karma and Yoga time and time again. Sometimes I pray, sometimes I journal to "myself." I think one thing I see proof of is that - yes - most religions end up creating bad things. But when I look at the very heart and root of these religions, I see that they all boil down to love and similar good-feeling values. I think that means that everyone wants/believes in the same thing and that, well, it's ALL good. (And therefore, yeah, people who use religion as excuses for hatred, guess what, you're religion is not meant for that!)

Stratejoy with Molly Mahar | Coaching, Courses & Community for Gen Y Women : Self-Doubt and Being a Crazy Woman

Hahaha I have those "prove that I'm crazy by crazily defending myself from crazy accusations" outbursts with my boyfriend all the time. It sure does seem like they have it so easy, especially when they're so dang good at masking their emotions! Keep working it Lindsey, everyone's cheering for you! No one is over here with baited breath :)

Stratejoy with Molly Mahar | Coaching, Courses & Community for Gen Y Women : Nothing a Little TV Won't Fix

Haha I don't have a TV, but that doesn't mean I don't run to my boyfriend's house to gorge on NBC's Thursday night line-up and some quality, quality programming on the speciality channels like HBO. Oh annnnnd Glee?! Yes please! Hulu or at a friend's house, I'll take it! I like to reward our creative entertainers who make fabulous products and tell memorable stories. When I'm stressed, usually a good cry is what I need to snap me out of it. Unforunately. It's not attractive and a pretty big time-waster, but sometimes you just NEED to actually physically release, you know?

Stratejoy with Molly Mahar | Coaching, Courses & Community for Gen Y Women : No Such Thing as the QLC? Bite Me.

Get it, Marian! Thank you! I think our parents' generation (not that I don't love and respect them) are being the hypocrites here! They raised us to be like this ;) I also feel like women feel this pressure and the multiple options more ferociously than men. I know this site overwhelmingly slants female anyway (yay!), but I wonder if it has to do with emotions/bigger brains/a more exponential growth in opportunities than men/our uteri, but have you girls noticed this? I know very few men who seem to be nearly as QLC-y than the awesome women I know.

Stratejoy with Molly Mahar | Coaching, Courses & Community for Gen Y Women : Self Awareness: The Anti-Adventure?

Oh man these are great questions! It has definitely always frustrated me that that culturally easiest social activities revolve around consuming something - usually alcohol, dessert, dinner, or coffee. Why am I intimidated to just invite people to sit around and chat with me?

Stratejoy with Molly Mahar | Coaching, Courses & Community for Gen Y Women : My Dreams Of Coffeeshops, Italy and ESPN

Ohhh John Mayer. Those first two albums are like wallowing-in-Quarter-Life-Crisis-sad-Heaven, yknow? And it's definitely not too late to be a dancer. I'd bet there are at least three small home-brewed dance organizations in your area who teach each other at $5 a class and are always looking for new members. Maybe even be on the look-out for slightly-more-expensive Mom-and-kids creative movement classes!

Yeah I've been struggling with this "dream thing," too. I mean, are we all allowed to be special? Doesn't a vast majority of people have to be "normal?" Who am I to dare to be in the "special" category? But you know what? I want to live in a world where business and living revolves around everyone being happy and feeling special, not in a world where it relies on a vast majority of boring, normal people. Go Nikki go! Thanks for being brave!
