Listverse : Top 10 Common Errors Made In Cooking

Here's another mistake: not timing things correctly. As in, if the recipe says it will take 10 minutes to prepare, allow 20. I run into this problem all the time. When I try to cook its always takes way longer to prepare and cook then expected. You also forgot that when fish is cooked properly, it should be flaky. We tend to run into the problem of not cooking the fish long enough and having sushi!!

Listverse : 15 Archetypal Southern American Foods

Oh, and I'm sure someone will flame me for this - but Texas isn't southern. Its south western. There's a big difference. Florida isn't southern either. The South stops at Georgia. ^_^ And omg - i LOVE boiled peanuts. Classic friday night football game food.

So I'm from georgia and while I don't eat several of the foods on that list (because I'm a VERY picky eater) I do eat and love most of them!! I have to say it is a very foreign idea to use beef for barbecue. Sometimes you can have barbecue chicken (but you always specify thats its chicken) otherwise its always pork. And some foods I've never thought about being southern staples - like cornbread and catfish. I figured everybody ate those. Oh and you forgot one of the biggest staples ever - sweet tea!! Good luck finding that up north.

i used to suffer from a combination of bulimia and anorexia when I was younger. I felt my life was out of control and food was the only thing I could control. Plus....I was suffering from depression. But I'm better now. Sometimes I still get bulimic urges but so far I havent succumbed...purging gave me a chronic sore throat and I never want that again.

Why do people come on here complaining about this "apple fanboy crap" when it is clearly stated in the title that this is a pro-apple essay? I don't understand it. If you don't like what he's saying, then don't read his article.

I would just like to point out that for #8, it all depends on who you talk to as to whether or not there is "substantial" evidence for Christ's existence. I have heard, from many places, that there is in fact not enough evidence to substantiate his existence. Its just a matter of opinion.

Listverse : 10 Notorious Cases of the Bystander Effect

The way you wrote #9 upsets me slightly because, to me, you make it sound like paganism helped influence these people's decision to commit this crime. Seeing as how I'm pagan, I find this slightly offensive and wish you would revise it in some way. Paganism gets enough bad press as it is. Those girls probably would've committed the crime anyways..even if they had not been introduced to such things.

When I was younger I believe I experienced a mild form of Ithyphallophobia due to the fact that i am a girl and penises were "unnatural" to me and an erection often represented sexual contact which i was also afraid of. Of course, it was an easy enough fear to correct.

Listverse : Top 10 Misconceptions About The Catholic Church

Yeah...I dont really agree with this list at all. You say that ALL catholic homes have a bible and i know this is not true. Because many Catholics I know, do not own or read the bible. And you say catholics are not anti science - but in my mind. if you are a TRUE christian, you are anti-science because a true christian does not believe in evolution or the big bang.

I think, just to clarify, that under Jim Jones, you should add forced cyanide consumption as well as mass suicide. It is a well known fact that many of the people who died in Jonestown were forced to take cyanide. So, not only is he a cult leader, he is a murderer.

TechCrunch : An iPhone Lover's Take On The HTC EVO 4G

Wow....I see you're getting a lot of hate mail about this... But I have to say, as an iPhone lover and user, I have no intention of ever switching. My friend got the HTC incredible, and even after all the hype about it, I was not impressed. I tried to use it and understand why it was supposed to be so much better, but I could not. It's not user friendly at all. I feel the iPhone is much more aesthetically pleasing....and living in the area where I live, having a 1 GHz processor or 4G is not really gonna help you. You're service and speed is going to be almost exactly the same. People can also complain about the iPhone being with AT&T but I have honestly had no problems with my service from them. All in all, I agree with the article. iPhone is still the best phone on the market (and I'm not even using the ewest version) and while other phones may come out that may seem better, when the new iPhone comes out, it will still once again, trump every phone before it.
