Well! Those are interesting books. Both are new to me, but look like they'd be fun to read. I hope you enjoy them.

Beastkeeper looks really good. I'm going to have to check that one out.

Spiders looks really interesting. I've decided that for me, 2015 will be "The Year of the YA", so I'm already making up a list of books that I want to read. (Since my daughter is terrified of spiders, I won't show her the cover!) Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I stopped by to read your summary of the Read-a-Thon. I also live in Texas, although I participated from California this time as I'm at the beginning of a Road Trip. A fun thing might be to get some of us Texas participants organized to run some of our own reading challenges through the year. Commendations for choosing to contribute to Literacy Texas.

Gretchen Lowell is one of the most terrifying characters I've ever "met" in a book. I'm not sure I'd call her my "favorite" villain, , though. And, I'm not sure I can ever subject myself to another book in the series. Heartsick was too intense for me.

Egads. Barely 8am (Central USA) and over 100 people have already added their links! Over at Reading in Texas, I've been busy trying to catch up after a couple of weeks neglect. Last Book Blogger Hop I participated in was last September, so it's time to hook up again.
