http://makingsenseofcents.com/ : Should I still be anonymous?

Actually.. I was anonymous too when I first started blogging. Mainly because I posted net worth at the time and my blog was mainly PF-related. But then I started to go into more fashion/cosmetics posts and I decided hell with it I'll remove the net worth and become visible. BUT. I was comfortable with the change at that time because my real friends/family did not know about the blog even when I "came out." Then I had a home tour & interview on The Everygirl this year and I was so proud of it that I posted it to Facebook and finally revealed my blog. Not very many real life friends and family have commented about my blog even though I'm sure a few people read it. I don't post details that I'm not comfortable with: mortgage, earnings, etc. so I think that makes me more comfortable. I think it all depends on what kind of personal content you want to post after you reveal yourself. My recent post September 2012 Budget Recap

From Shopping to Saving : The \"No One Cares What You Wear\" Experiment

I feel that jeans you can get away with wearing multiple times in a row. Maybe two days max? Tops...not really. Jackets, sure. And I also agree that colorful items get noticed more often... Justin said one time a co worker kept wearing pink pants 5 days and a row and since it was pink he noticed it and thought it was kind of gross. I don't wash things after every wear though, only if it really needs it.

http://makingsenseofcents.com/ : Saving While on Vacations

I use Tripadvisor to find the cheapest yet highest-rated accomodation I can find. For car rentals.. I signed up for USAA membership (its free) and used their code for a Hertz discount. In Kauai we ended up paying $365 for a non-4WD for 7 days. We ended up with a free upgrade to a Mustang convertible! Now I'm using miles and points to save on vacations... tomorrow we're staying at the Hyatt in Monterey by redeeming Hyatt points (plus a measly $22/night fee. Oh well.) Next year's trip to Fiji also will be paid in points: we'll only pay the taxes and fees on 2 RT economy tix. Hotel will be booked through Starwood for points plus $60 or so per night. Yay cheap travel! My recent post Review: Skinceuticals Retinol 0.5

From Shopping to Saving : Money Psychology: Why Do We Have to Save Money?

Honestly I don't have separate savings goals... I just sock my money away into one separate high interest account and that's it. I try my best to save a lot and then when a big purchase looms (say, over $100) I usually don't buy until I feel like I REALLY need it or the time is right (like if I've been wanting it for more than a year and now its on sale and its NEVER on sale). This system isn't perfect though... :T

Fabulously Broke in the City : The most unsatisfying degrees ranked by college degree

I'm a Chem Engineer.. but there is NO correlation between my Chem E major and what I'm doing in my semiconductor job now... probably because I focused on BioEng. I guess I'm satisfied in that I feel pretty stable right now as far as career path goes....I'm just happy to have a decent paying job..... but this definitely isn't my passion. Honestly I chose the major because at the time I disliked chemistry the least and Chem E had (and still has) a ton of job prospects. If I ever won the lotto I'd be outta there, stat!! :P

Woo!! I love traveling! I booked a trip to Japan in September with my sister.. flight per person was $659 and we're staying for 2 weeks for $2240 per person using a British tour group (I highly recommend them, I went when I was 17 and I just HAD to use them again this year, they are THAT good) Plus it's a mix of Americanized hotels and more traditional Japanese inns and the tour guides are always with you the entire way. http://insidejapantours.com/japan-small-group-tou...
