Thank you. I have twins and could have really used the playpen but never could either. Now that they are verging on 11, they demand much less of my time as they develop their own friends / interests. Maybe it takes that bit of distance to gain the perspective required.

That is part of motivation -- making every meal from real food, not a package or box {pasta being our exception}. Our meals are not necessarily low calorie or low in fat, but I feel good about serving food that started with grass fed beef, or free range chickens and organic veggies. I also get that not everyone likes to cook. I'm already starting dinner. You have to like it to commit so much time to the endeavor!

Exactly. I laugh now at how overwhelmed I was! The {teen} years that lay ahead scare me the most!!

Exactly. I agree we have no choice but too be more cautious, but that does not justify the constant three-ring circus so many create.

That is one benefit of twins -- I don't have a younger to worry about when watching TV. Last summer we all read and then watched the entire Potter series. So good!
