Appreciate this post, penned my post for Friday this morning because of it. I think it's a certain type of person who thinks that they have to subscribe to the popular thought about relationships, marriages and good/bad significant others... it's not even an issue of losing morals/values either. Quite frankly if you are still subscribing to that thought, you're becoming an outdated individual. Nobody else is doing that anymore. But i'll expand on Friday.

Single Black Male : Date That Man: 6 Reasons Girl Code Should Be the Exception, Not the Rule in Dating

I doubt it's to derail Black men. Most Black men, ~89% of Black men marry Black women. I agree there is mass paranoia being spread, as I stated in my post today, but I don't know if it's really targeted to black men or women. But to expand on your point about 42% vs. 51% it doesn't take into account a lot of other things: 1) Incarceration rates that lead to marriages falling apart 2) Death 3) Disparities in education and how that leads to marriages falling apart 4) On the flip side, there are several cultures that shun divorce leaving women in marriages that have failed but not dissolved All that to say, i'm not all that worried about 51 vs. 42. To me... it's a non-issue.

"Here are the facts: 75% of black women will have married by the age of 35, with more marrying after the age of 35. The vast majority of black women will get married. " Don't get too far ahead of yourself with that statistic because it does not prove the other stat wrong. When they mention the 42% stat it includes the amount of women who have been married and are no longer married. Also, the statistics around black women who do marry are skewed tremendously by their level of education. In all things, it means nothing to have been married. It's only important that you are married, as in, still married.

"you know what, you're right." That's gold! I've been using that for years. The problem is when they come back at you like, "You don't really think i'm right. Do you?" That's when you KNOW they're arguing just to argue.

If you're willing to tell someone that you are about to Google them and they are with that, you're right that's a perfect match for you. That point, I can agree with. Be careful with Facebook. Most people make friends with people who share similar moral and value systems. It's hard to poll them and get anything but a biased response. Most of your friends will agree with you because if they didn't y'all would have a completely different value system. Save some outliers here and there.

This is gold. I will also say that I would worry more about the people who slip through the crack than the people who don't. In the article I said that a guy who could be found out was an idiot. The guy you want to worry about is the one you can't find anything out about.

I just want to reiterate. If you google a good guy and he finds out about it, he will most likely break things off with you immediately. Take from that whatever you want about the men you Google.

You have met two felons. Again I ask, where are you meeting these guys? And why are they attracted to you? That's really weird. Majority of women go their whole lives without having that problem.

Put it to you like this, I'm not telling you to date in your circle but it's damn hard to get out of six degrees of separation. If you are so lucky to do that, you tried too hard. All i'm saying is that you shouldn't be that far out of your circle that nobody you know in the world know the person you're dating. I can guarantee you right now that if I tried, I would find a few mutual contacts that we have and I've never met you. Finding a guy with whom that doesn't exist... well good luck.

Single Black Male : Three Undeniable Reasons the Seattle Seahawks Will Win the Super Bowl

Yeah I'm going with Denver because while people say it's the #1 offense vs. #1 defense, there's nothing record breaking about Seattle's defense. When I think about the disparity between these teams I think like the West vs. East in the NBA... one accomplishment is just a lot more impressive. With that said, Russell hasn't played well since Seattle has started having to play tough teams. Peyton will Karate Chop their defense for at least four TDs, can Seattle do that too? I don't think so. Seattle's in trouble. Also, Seattle was the favorite to win this Super Bowl. The only thing that changed that was when Richard Sherman went on a rant at the end of the NFC Championship game. Vegas decided to react to his rant and that's how Denver became the favorite. Let's be clear... Seattle is by no means an underdog worth note.

I wouldn't agree with that. I answered the questions but I don't think that makes me some type of source of any kind. You ask a question, I answer, most women have to know, "These are Dr. J's answers not anyone else's." And maybe some people will agree with it, and others might disagree which is fine.
