How are the people "attacking" Wil Wheaton here part of Gamergate? That's the problem with people on the anti-GG side. They find anything they don't like and try to pin it on whoever they're arguing with at the moment. Dehumanization and slander is their M.O.

What the hell are you talking about? What do you want the gamergate crowd to do about a rape in India? (I assume it's that case you're talking about). Rape is illegal as is murder and the perpetrators will be handled by the law as they should be. You making it sound as if they're being celebrated as heroes. You want to know how Gamergaters feel about rape? Look up their reaction to what happened to a woman named Cytherea (might be NSFW. she is a pornstar).

And the concept that because bad things happen we shouldn't complain about smaller things is flat out BS. By that logic, nobody would ever have the right to take issue with anything ever because somebody else will always have it worse.

"Your entire family was killed by an ax murderer? Shut up! There are kids starving in Africa."
"Your significant other cheated on you? Stop your whining. America's fighting multiple wars right now."
"Your boss is forcing you to work overtime? Grow up! There are kids working in sweatshops somewhere."

Do you see how ridiculous that is? You don't like Gamergate? That's fine, a lot of people don't, but a lot of people do and they making positive changes to the industry and beyond.
