oh it’s so good to be reading your blog again. I feel like it’s been awhile, but that’s probably me since I’ve been a bit MIA lately!
That’s so good exams are over for you and also very good you’re spending more time offline. YES it’s a thing I know I struggle with! Of course there’s time but do we really wanna spend every second of it online? well, not if we don’t want our lives to be perpetually stagnant. lol. Love the pics and it sounds like you have a few interesting reviews coming up? I’ve been in a fantasy mood lately too! High fantasy, of course. I also have been still on my historical fiction kick. I had pick another classics for my challenge and I picked The Turn of the Screw by Henry James. It’s a ghost story and it’s pretty short at under 200 pages :) I just started it so I hope it’s good. I’m also reading a few other books but about to pick something off my shelf that is high fantasy--so let me know what you pick! I think the ones I am thinking of you have already read lol. Oh and for movies…well, I wanna see Jurassic Park..just cuz I think it’s def the kinda movie you need to see in the theaters (if you are into that :)
Okay well I am off to bed I have work in the morning in like 7 hours (yikes!)

YAY you liked Distance Between Us!! So glad you did! :) Sounds like you are having a serious reading binge lately and I love that. I LIVE for that lol. I have been too! So much so that I haven't even really witten any reviews (oops) haha. I am still on a historical fiction kick, read The Witch of Painted Sorrows by MJ ROSE (only 2 stars, but a guilty pleasure nonetheless), finally finished Mariana by Susanna Kearsley and read The Graveyard Book graphic novel part I :) loved that! Now I started another graphic novel and historical middle grade book called Cleo. It's good so far, but way too early to tell :)

You don't have to apologize, it's YOUR blog! lol. That's the whole fun of it. I actually like a lot of reviews, and you should do what you feel like at the time. Sometimes I do all reviews (like lately) other times I just go with the flow and add a bunch of silly memes to break it up or discussion posts to go deep or haul posts who knows. It's up to my mood and I hope you enjoy reading your ARCs and writing your reviews!

You're gonna be busy in summer — I am too BUT less busy than I have been all year! woo! which is major good news 4 the blog haha. Next week is finals (and this week) so I know I owe you a long email, expect it late next week or the week after. Then my summer schedule starts! I'm (only) working 40 hours a week. haha I know it sounds like a lot but it's at least 30 hours less than I have been and its only one job instead of 3 so yay

I hope you had a GR8 birthday and I can't wait to see the new design! I'm doing mine this summer!! still deciding on a few things though lol

I wasn't sure about this one, just because— all the hype. But then when I saw it was about Rome.. Had to just add it on my TBR. I love everything about Rome, it's so fascinating to me. Add that to the fantasy and I definitely am interested in it. I wasn't too sure though about pushing it to the front of my huge tbr because the fight to get to the top seems to take more and more as the list gets longer lol.
I'm glad to hear that it's sufficiently dark and gritty though. You know how I roll wit dat. ;)
Excellent review Jess! I can't wait to read it…it'll probably be the next book I order off of Amazon actually. haha.

I actually do want to read The Fill In Boyfriend really badly :) I like Kasie West as a contemporary author because one of my favorites is The Distance Between Us. Ok, it's one of the few I've actually gotten through and liked haha. It helps that it's short and sweet and like you said very kpop fanfiction-y. Just light and cute.
My mother's day was good! How was yours? We had lunch, did some shopping, had some frozen yogurt and now just relaxing and trying not to think abut the fact that tomorrow I have to start another work week..lol. I'm reading a romance right now (shocking, I know)..and I need to write some reviews tonight.
I hope you have a good week! Looking forward to your reviews, that's great you have May filled in…I love that feeling.
